Gary Zwanepoel

I am a qualified Agile Project Manager, Scrum master and coach with over 30 years software development and project management management experience ranging from desktop, database, internet and mobile platforms. I have had the good fortune to have not only developed numerous internet-based systems on both Microsoft and LAMP environments as well as numerous other online and e-Commerce systems that are still in operation today. Having worked on projects and solutions ranging from educational, GIS based, decision support, big data, statistical, mobile, B2B, B2C and e-commerce to mention but a few, I have gained valuable experience and insight in to the different aspects of IT in a wide range of applications and industry.

In my role as a scrum master and product owner I have been responsible for the management and delivery of numerous IT projects and have supervised and managed teams from 5 to 20 developers as well as had the privilege of mentoring many junior personnel. I have worked in the government, corporate and private sector as well as had the good fortune to be a director for numerous companies in the IT and software development environment.

As a firm believer in Agile project management, having had great success with this in my project management style in both Scrum and Kanban over the last few years, I have also gained valuable experience in traditional methodologies.

My key skills include: Project management, Agile Scrum master, product owner, Agile coach, Bespoke systems development and implementation and development of Internet based and Mobile applications. Database development, decision support and portal systems as well as system integration. I have solid programming experience in opensource as well as proprietary programming languages having programmed many solutions myself over the years.
