Derek Chan
I lead a team of individuals whose passion is centered around mobility design, development and testing. It’s mission is to enable teams at Alaska Airlines to capitalize on the mobile moment, delivering the right information, at the right time, in the right context for our customers and employees.
The Mobile Competency Center offers the follow set of services.
Mobile User Experience Design Services – Help teams interview users, create wireframes, validate concepts and design.
Mobile Dev Jumpstart Services – Help teams kickstart projects, with tools, templates, common components and available resources.
Mobile Continuous Delivery Services – Help teams to create the delivery pipeline and processes for your projects. (e.g. Source Control, Build, Testing framework, Beta Deploy, Production)
Mobile Consulting Services – Consulting and Partner services for Mobile Projects, Device Selection and Management
Mobile Common Component/Frameworks Library – A library of foundational components used across all mobility projects.
I also work with mobile leaders from other business units to create the Mobile Center of Excellence (MCoE) to coordinating and realizing our Mobile Only strategy within Alaska Airlines.
