About
Victor Penman, my Bio:
After 20 years of managing software projects, mostly computer games, I began working with Lean software development in 2005 and then Scrum in 2008. Since then I have been certified as a Product Owner, Scrum Master and Scrum Professional. I have had the good fortune to work on a number of projects at some great companies including:
A Varaiant Report project for Next Generation DNA sequencing at GE
An Multiplayer Online Battle Arena Games at Petroglyph Games
Implementation of Medicare Changes required by Obamacare at the State of Idaho
Data warehousing at Optum Data Management
An application allowing people to schedule set top viewing at Comcast
Expansion of an in-store Ecommerce program at Target (Consensus)
Refinement of an in-hospital medication delivery system at Omnicell
Development of tools for use in creating online games at GarageGames
Transitioning a company from waterfall to Agile at Direct Digital
Developing a social media game at InstantAction
And a number of others sometimes using local teams only, sometimes using remote teams only and sometimes vusing a combination of both.
I have experienced how different organizations of different sizes in different markets have wrestled with the challenges of implementing and using Scrum. This allows me to fairly quickly identify the common pitfalls and offer ways around them.
