After a career as a television news producer, and another career as a project manager... stumbled into Agile in 2011. Glad I did, because now I'm a Scrum Master and it's a great fit for my working style and personality.
Started off as an Agile Project Manager in a Fortune 500 financial services company. From there, worked as a Scrum Master (and part-time Product Owner) in a media company, a Project Manager/Scrum Master at an insurance company and a marketing group. Since 2016, it’s been full time Scrum Master roles… no more split roles.
My experience in a variety of companies and industries has given me strong insight into the variety of ways companies have adopted the Agile process. It's also shown me that a little flexibility can be a good thing, but too much can 'warp' the understanding of Agile and Scrum amongst it's practioners and performers.
