Marco Heerebout

Marco Heerebout has relevant IT experience since 1992, professionally since 1994.

Has seen various methodologies/approaches such as waterfall, RAD, UP, RUP, XP and Scrum.

Has a background based on the roles/functions: consulant, agile coach, programmer, projectleader, analist, architect, project manager, competence center manager, operation manager and DevOps manager. Now active as a Development Manager for a Dutch application (Eduarte), also next to his role has a natural intrinsic continuous improvement way of doing and thinking which leads to matching activities and changes.

Experience with small and large projects in small (startups) and large (banks, local and central government) companies/environments and anything in between.

Marco prefers to work with a relaxed but result oriented and driven team in a supporting environment where the goals and expected results are ambitious and innovative or "new for the customer". When required Marco will strongly influence the environment/organisation to make it more supporting and or innovating.

Marco has an agile way of working since he started working (influenced by Tom Gilb's "Principles of Software Engineering Management" book from 1988) and is glad to see "Agile", XP, DevOps and Scrum are being embraced more and more.
