About
Donna Hicks is an experienced Sales, Marketing and Capability Development professional, with a strong record of selling and supporting delivery of training and consulting services in a demanding business consulting environment. She has over twenty years of experience in organising and directing quality work efforts to maximise team and organisational performance and is a collaborative and dynamic team manager, with a confident and outgoing personality and strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Following 2 years working with a previous agile company until June 2012, Donna set up a new Agile Training and Consultancy business, agil8, with her partner, Certified Scrum Trainer, David Hicks. Following substantial growth over the past 9 years, agil8 is now one of the UK's premier, boutique, agile training and consulting organisations. Donna has been responsible for the set-up and expansion of the back-office support team over this time and has turned her hand, variously, to marketing, finance, HR, recruitment, delivery but most notably sales - which is where she spends the majority of her time now. She is particularly interested in supporting the growth of current ScrumMasters and enabling growth to Certified Scrum Professional and further. She enjoys working with an exceptionally talented and extremely likeable training and support team.
Prior to entering the agile field, Donna worked for 17 years with Management Consultancy Accenture. At Accenture, Donna was responsible for developing and implementing the global capability development strategy for the firm's Consumer Goods and Services industry group.
Donna's personal interests include skiing, open water swimming, really good food, and living "The Good Life". She has two teenage daughters, lives in beautiful countryside in the SW of England, and would have been climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2020, but for COVID-19 :(
