Scrum master students complete at least 14 hours of live training, and the trainer will cover a wide range of content. Most students prefer to do some additional preparation after the course to get ready for the test.

The 50 multiple-choice questions have been developed to test your knowledge of the scrum framework and Certified ScrumMaster learning objectives so you can confidently demonstrate your expertise to employers, clients, colleagues, and businesses. A passing score of 74% or higher is required, and two attempts are included in the cost of your course registration when taken within the first 90 days after your course.

A scrum master is the scrum team member tasked with fostering an effective and productive working environment and guiding others to understand scrum values, principles, and practices. Scrum masters tend to be people-oriented, have high emotional intelligence, and find joy in helping team members grow.

CSM is ideal for those who want to excel and grow in their career as a scrum master. If you're a developer (especially software or hardware), then the Certified Scrum Developer course is a great way to increase your understanding of the scrum framework and agile engineering. On the other hand, the Certified Scrum Product Owner course levels up your understanding of scrum so you can deliver maximum value to your customers as a product owner.

A scrum master certification is worth it if you want to work as an experienced scrum master, learn more about scrum, or simply expand your agile knowledge. A certification from Scrum Alliance helps you stand out from other job candidates by demonstrating your proficiency in this agile role. Fifty-five percent of employers will pay higher salaries for people with relevant certifications.

In fact, CSM is the scrum master certification most demanded by employers. The Advanced and Certified Scrum Professional levels of certification will show your continuing growth in this skill area.

Unlike the advanced-level courses, there are no prerequisites for Certified ScrumMaster, which is an introductory course for anyone who wants to become a competent, skilled scrum master. Familiarity with agile is helpful, and your instructor will provide introductory material for you to review before class.
