Certified Scrum Product Owner®

GL Team, Thanks a lot for the CSPO course. Lots of great subjects to research and with the added, real-world examples I can think about how to gain value from the methods if implemented. I almost didn't take the course because I read a Reddit that stated CSPO just taught you to be a Jira monkey. After several job descriptions wanting CSPO certification, I decided to take the course. This wasn't Jira monkey at all, not even sure Jira was mentioned. This course focused on Product and getting it out the door if it was worth doing by attacking it for the better. Also validating to my own practices, haha. If it did one thing, it's boost my confidence. If it did two, it let me know how much more I still don't know until I read more product philosophy.

If you're looking for a CSPO course that has zero PowerPoint slides and focuses on practical, real-world learning, I highly recommend this one. The course gave me a much clearer and applicable understanding of the Scrum framework and helped me better appreciate the differences between the Product Owner and Product Manager roles, while also recognizing that the lines between them can sometimes overlap in practice. David Bulkin's unique and energetic teaching style is what makes the course stand out. He brings Scrum to life through stories, workplace examples, class activities and lessons from his decades of experience across different industries. The breakout sessions, group discussions, and one-on-one sessions with David made the course highly interactive, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable. The banter throughout the sessions kept the atmosphere relaxed while reinforcing the learning. I only want my money back because even though the training lasted 16 hours, David didn't make it feel like I spent 16 hours! I came away with practical knowledge I can apply immediately, and I'd gladly take another Scrum certification course led by David.

David did an exceptional job connecting with the students in his course. The exercises were incredibly helpful and the content was challenging and substantive (lots of recommendations for longer reading, which I personally like). The pace of the course was well managed and his students were engaged throughout the training. There was a variety of small group/large group work, which kept the course dynamic. The instructor brought humor and warmth and really connected to the class. Highly recommend!

David is a very engaging instructor and I particularly liked the small class size, interactive class structure and way he brought in relevant examples and stories to augment the lessons. For the price, it was a really good use of time. I think a few things would have made the course even better. Simple wayfinding in the Mural board like numbering activities or the agenda of topics would have made following the lessons easier. It also felt like we jumped right into technical/tactical aspects of a PO right away - and I think some level-setting on how a PO is responsible for a product strategically would have added more context to the tactical (i.e. how the big picture translates to the day-to-day). Finally, its a lot of ground to cover in a short amount of time but would have loved to spend more hands-on time on certain activities like strategy, stories, prioritization.

If you’re interested in learning more about the product owner role, I HIGHLY recommend David’s CSPO course with Grow Lean! David has a great teaching style that kept the class engaging from start to finish. I enjoyed his practical, real-world examples & exercises, and really appreciated that he didn't just teach the current framework - he incorporated discussions about AI, how its impacting product management today, and where he sees it heading in the future. His sense of humor and comedic relief made the class enjoyable and kept me engaged throughout. David clearly has a wealth of knowledge and experience, but what stood out even more was how invested he is in helping people succeed. That level of generosity and support is rare and really speaks to how much he cares about his students. Overall, this was an awesome course, and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to grow as a product owner.

Authentic, punctual, and flexible, David consistently reinforced Agile principles through practical discussions and an engaging, collaborative learning environment. His candid conversations about the realities of the tech industry, the impact of AI, and how to grow in our current roles made the course especially relevant.

David did a amazing job really focusing the course and the material around the modern Product Owner and how to work in a modern AI world!

I liked that the program was not built around a specific type of company or process. I am learning every day that a Product Owner has one of the most fluid and flexible roles in the software development process. David did a very good job of conveying that point and giving us the methods to take advantage of these 'gray' responsibilities.
