Wouter Crets - I am an agile analyst / product owner since 2008.
I enjoy facilitating the process of translating business desires into practical and useful solutions. The best way to realize this is to involve the right people at the right time. This means facilitating workshops between business, marketing, architects, developers and other key stakeholders. These workshops require a thorough preparation and extensive facilitation, but they are one of the most efficient tools to help ensure a projects success.
I assisted in the change of methodology on several projects. Large projects transforming from waterfall to scrum, as well as projects adopting agile methodologies because they knew a sudden increase in size and scope. By organizing retrospectives and continuous improvement both the delivery teams and the management are able to embrace the change.
On the last few projects I coached my fellow analysts into becoming agile analysts / product owners. This is a rewarding experience that drives me towards looking for more opportunities to coach colleagues that want to adopt an agile methodology.
Proximus, Product Owner
October 2011 - June 2014, Brussels, BE
I joined the Belgacom e-channel team to support the scrum pilot project at Belgacom. My main role in the delivery teams is to be the functional analyst and proxy product owner. I assist business in defining a clear and prioritized product backlog through power workshops. I facilitate the development teams in estimating the backlog. Throughout the development of a project the business involvement in the project is maintained.
At portfolio level I was one of the domain analysts that facilitates the prioritization and impact assessment of the incoming projects to manage the project portfolio.
