He is well versed with requirements under various standards / models such as ISO 9001:2000, AS 9100, ISO 13485, TL9000, ISO 20000, SW-CMM, CMMI-DEV, CMMI-SVC, Agile - Scrum, KANBAN, AutoSPICE, ITIL, Six Sigma and BS 7799/ISO27001 standards and programs.
Saravanan spearheaded the Software Development Center to be assessed under the SEI CMM Level 5 / SEI CMMI-DEV Level 5 / SEI CMMI-SVC Level 5 and many other standards / model based and non model based process improvement programs. He had a lead role in conceptualizing the approach, identifying the requirements and defining the processes, motivating the employees towards deployment and training the earmarked team towards the implementation of such large process improvement programs in the organization.
Saravanan has spent quite an effort in creating the good foundation towards establising scrum based practices in the organization. Scrum practices has picked up very well towards improving the quality, productivity and individual motivation over the past 6+ years in the organization. Saravanan has conducted very many sessions and workshops to his internal teams and customers as well either to initiate scrum based software development programs or transititioning from traditional to scrum based software development programs.
Recently, Saravanan has developed a proactive management approach for agile-scrum based programs which helps the scrum team in predicting the performance of quality and productivity of their sprints based on their past performances. This has even met the requirements of CMMI high maturity practice requirements.

Heading quality function for the product business line of HCL and other horizontal QA functions such as Six sigma, Process management group and Process training academy. As quality function head, have defined and implemented processes & tools for traditional and agile life cycle based projects. Facilitated all agile programs executed based on scrum principles. Scrum master role is enabled through these facilitation and management programs. Conducting scrum based workshops to our customers and also to the large programs who are transitioning from traditional to agile programs are some of the key activities in the current scenario.
