Peter Janssens is a senior consultant using Scrum and other agile and lean foundations to help people, teams and organizations to discover better ways to get early and valuable results, and to create happier workspaces.
Peter has experience from the software industry since 1996, to a great part in the area of product management where he has held several positions, ranging over development, analysis to coaching and managerial responsibilities.
Peter has actively managed Scrum projects, and helped customers start or improve their Scrum initiatives at major companies like Tele Atlas (currently TomTom), SD Worx, DKV insurances, Eandis, VAB, De Persgroep and Barco.
As entrepreneur and business developer, he is co-founder of iLean, a happy workplace consultancy company. He also co-founded TextTheButler, a start-up initiative.
Peter's personal ambition with each trainee or coachee is to discover that most important extra insight or that change in daily practices and in organisation with most potential to deliver more valuable results earlier and more frequently, and have fun.
Trainer & coach
Peter is a freelancer based in Ghent, Belgium. He coaches and guides teams, and has experience in guiding product owners and different types of managers. As a trainer, he has a materials toolbox ready to offer a wide range of workshop facilitations, or agile and scrum related trainings from the back of the room.
Studies & certifications
He holds an accounting and an applied economics sciences degree at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. He continued studies at Vlerick Business School (ICT management track).
He dived and attended trainings about several intresting skills and competence areas like Java programming, group- and visual facilitation techniques, agile leadership tracks, etc...
Peter is a Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), CSM, CSPO and a Less certified Practitioner.
Special focus goes to the Product Owner role & Scaling of Scrum.
