I’m not your average IT manager.

My business cards say such things as project manager, scrum master, product owner, IT manager.

But when you get right down to it, I’m much more – I ‘m a motivator, an educator (15 years of teaching college), a community builder and a geek (ask me anything about the semantic Web, Firefly, board games or internal martial arts, seriously).

I am also a believer in the power of people.

I believe that we, as humans, are not meant to work at a job. Rather, I believe we are meant to excel at a profession, not because of rules, societal ruts and obligations but because of our passion for a project, a vision for a future and a love for a team.

We continually outperform our former selves because we believe what we do is making our life, the life of others and our world better. We overcome difficulties because we know that we are a work family and care deeply for the individuals around us. We smile on a dreary morning because today is going to be the day we, with our colleagues, are going to knock it out of the park. We start every meeting with a ‘lets do this!’.

And so I teach people and companies how to create this synergy. I teach teams how to find their inter relational balance and to reach a level of performance they would have never expected while keeping their stress low, fun factor high and camaraderie growing.

Specialties include: scrum coaching, project management (Web application, desktop application, agile, scrum, kanban, waterfall, spiral), scrum mastering, team management, IT management. I am also very good a teaching TaiChi and Qigong and make a mean shiitake risotto.

I am right over at  if you ever want to talk Agile development, scrum methodology, project development or Web technology.
