Margaret Thomas discovered a better way to work on projects when she was first introduce to Scrum. Her first experiences were with a small helathcare firm where the basics of scrum were introduced, but not truly practiced or espoused. Margaret moved on to CapTech Consulting where she helped start the internal Agile Community of Practice. As a CapTech Consultant she worked as an internal coach to those practicing scrum on external engagements, helped clients with their agile delivery and agile transformation. She developed and delivered a CapTech interanl course that was structured similar to a CSM course, but given in a boot-camp style within a 4-hour class. In her desire to do Agile and be part of full time Agile shop, Margaret accepted the challenge with a start up firm, Compare.com. She is currently there and living, breathing, eating Agile every day. Her focus on system wide Agile process improvements, adopting a small scaled approach to managing a porfolio of projects, and coaching mulitple teams, keeps her busy and loving her professional life.
She lives in Richmond Virginia, Her husband is also a CSM/CSPO at Capital One and they often coach each other at the dinner table and compare and contrast big company little company differences in Agile, meanwhile their lovely two children try to interrupt them.
