Jakob Illeborg Pagter works as an Innovation Manager at The Alexandra Institutet Ltd (Aarhus, Denmark), where he is responsible for the Centre for IT Security. Jakob holds a ph.d. in theoretical computer science from the University of Aarhus (2001). After defending his thesis, Jakob worked as a software architect at Cryptomathic Ltd (Aarhus, Denmark), where he helped develop solutions for digital signatures (PKI) and personalization of smart cards. Later Jakob rejoined the University of Aarhus as an associate professor in the area of applied cryptography. Jakobs current work at the Alexandra Institute still focuses a lot on applied cryptography, but also on security for embedded and mobile computing devices (aka. pervasive/uniquitous computing) as well as creation of new research projects in security.
Jakob has managed a number of smaller project teams (up to five persons), but has still to apply Scrum.
