Harold Brangman has an extensive IT background starting as a software developer and most recently as an information technology systems engineer and consultant. His expertise includes requirements gathering, SharePoint development and administration and systems development life cycle (SDLC) management. Most recently, he has worked within US federal agencies to identify, establish and promote governance for the release and sustainment of enterprise systems and the adoption of SharePoint 2010 as the standard platform for collecting, managing and measuring IT productivity.
Originally introduced to and adopted the agile Feature Driven Development (FDD) methodology in 2007 while the IT Project Manager on a Department of Defense contract and became a Certified Scrum Master in 2009. He believes that in today's fast pace and ever evolving IT environment, agile is the ideal methodolgy for meeting the demands for faster and flexible development of intelligent business systems. The biggest challenge will be sustaining these systems over time.
As an IT project manager, technical lead and database developer, he repeatedly delivered innovative and functionally sound solutions to satisfied clients on multiple private and public sector development projects. He has years of experience as an instructor leading professional training seminars and at private and community colleges. In addition he is an active member in several Northern Virginia user groups that affords him the opportunity to share in developing new skills, and keeping up-to-date of the latest technology trends.
