I have used Agile frameworks dating back to 2004. Initially the purpose was to streamline the creation of a SaaS enterprise content management and ecommerce platform for Stellio, LLC. Following a successful launch and several follow on releases, the product did well in the marketplace until approximately 2008, when external factors limited Stellio's success.
I was hired by Harvard Business Publishing in 2011 as a Senior Project Manager and began to lightly use Scrum in the construction of the Breakthrough Leadership software application. I became a certified scrum master in August 2012, and a certified scrum product owner in November 2012. Harvard Business Publishing then hired FreeStandingAgility.com to come in and coach our teams in an effort to make us "high performing." With the knowledge gained through certifications, on the job experience and with the expert coaching provided, we started a complete rebuild of the company's flagship product, Harvard ManageMentor. The product is SaaS in nature so there will be continual improvements made to the product over its life. The official launch is September 15, 2014. Scrum was Agile framework used for the life of the initial development. The project has been a success. The end product has met and in some cases exceeded stakeholder expectations, and the number of defects is extremely low.
Recently I successfully passed the PMI-ACP examination.
I am currently employed as a W-2 contractor for The Eliassen Group and have been placed at State Street. I have been at State Street for over a year. I have successfully coached 12 scrum teams within the past year.
