Dörte Schröder is an active member of the agile community in Germany, bridging the worlds of big companies, agile methodologies, leadership and improvisation theatre. Since 2016, she is working self-employed as a consultant, facilitator and agile coach, thus enabling companies, teams and individuals to drive agile transitions and other change initiatives.
Dörte has been working in multiple roles in technology and IT environments. As a manager with Deutsche Telekom, she has a deep knowledge about the complexities of leadership and management roles within a company. In addition, she was driving change herself as the product owner of an agile transition team. She also worked as the product owner for a landline & VDSL product with a German no-frills telecommunications company launched in less than half a year. Previously she worked as a mathematician in network planning and modelling.
Dörte has a good amount of both waterfall and agile project experience, which makes her even more an advocat of agile methodologies. She likes to blend in ideas and methods from other sources, e.g. Management 3.0, training methods based on neuroscience and improv theatre.
