Andreas is Technical and Operations Manager at The European Library since February 2010 and responsible for the ongoing development of the portal and ingestion services. Andreas has more than 10 years of professional working experience as developer and administrator of Oracle Databases, Enterprise Java Applications, and Java Web Applications. Further he worked as a consultant for performance tuning as well as trainer for Oracle Administrators and Java Developers. Andreas has been working in several European and National funded projects as technical and project manager since 2003. He has been a key researcher at the Know-Center, Austria's Competence Center for Knowledge Management, for graphs and graph mining. Andreas graduated at Technical University Graz with a specialization on Web, Web Crawling, Information Retrieval and Machine Learning.

Andreas is Certified Scrum Master since Nov. 2011 and has gained nearly one year (about 30 sprints) of experience as Scrum Master for two teams at The European Library (September 2010 - June 2011). After this Andreas took up the role as Product Owner for the Technical and Operations Team at The European Library (July 2011 - December 2012), this team is now in Sprint 52 and performs outstanding well as Scrum Team.
