I’m Devon Morris, an Enterprise Transformation & Innovation Leader, Industrial-Organizational Psychologist, and Evidence-Based Strategist focused on helping teams thrive under pressure.

For over two decades, I’ve guided organizations across finance, healthcare, energy, government, and higher education through large-scale transformation — translating complexity into clarity and strategy into measurable performance.

As Founder of 8typical, I lead leaders. My work integrates the science of human behavior with the discipline of business execution — using research, data, and evidence-based coaching to turn potential into performance.

Whether I’m advising executive teams, building innovation ecosystems, or facilitating leadership transformation, my goal remains constant: to architect organizations that perform with agility, resilience, and purpose — especially when the stakes are high.

As the first Black Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), I’ve certified over 10,000 Scrum professionals, coached transformations exceeding $100M in impact, and helped organizations design operating models that sustain performance under VUCA conditions.

As a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, my research explores team coaching, resilience, learning agility and team effectiveness in complex environments. It’s the academic backbone that reinforces every framework I deliver.

Beyond the boardroom, I’m a husband, father, and lifelong learner who believes leadership starts at home and scales outward.
