Brian Milner is a Certified Scrum Trainer®, Agile coach, and founder of Agility Evolved. For several years, he worked alongside Mike Cohn at Mountain Goat Software developing some of the globe's most practical, no-fluff training for Product Owners and Scrum Masters and still teaches classes there.
Before becoming a full-time trainer and coach, Brian spent over a decade in the trenches of software creation—nurturing high-risk initiatives as a Scrum Master, consulting with teams and execs as an Agile coach, and seeing the hard way how hard actual change is. That experiential wisdom shows up in every course he teaches.
Brian doesn't lecture. His courses use live simulations, clean visuals, and interactive formats modeled after Sharon Bowman's "Training from the Back of the Room," for which he is a certified trainer. Prepare for no-nonsense talk, real-life scenarios, and methods you can implement on Monday.
He's been requested to present seminars all around the world on topics like neurodiversity, conflict management, practical agility in the real world, and how to drive organizational change that truly sticks. He has spoken at Scrum Gatherings, Agile conferences, and international Agile events. He became a CST at the 2019 Scrum Gathering in Austin, Texas—only a few miles from his home today.
When he's not teaching, Brian's most likely playing in his 80s/90s/2000s cover band, adventuring in a D&D campaign, or debating why Empire Strikes Back is still the best.
