About
I am a small business owner, Agile Project Manager, certified ScrumMaster, and Management 3.0 Licensed Trainer in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have over a decade of management experience in several industries, including software and web development. Over the years I have played the roles of project manager, program manager, portfolio manager, team leader, ScrumMaster, Scrum coach, and trainer in small and large organizations, both public and private-sector. I introduced Scrum to a department in a global medical device company, provided Scrum training and coaching to all teams in the department, and guided the teams through their first Scrum pilot projects. I also led the Scrum transition for a mobile device security company in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am an Agile Alliance certified ScrumMaster, am PMP certified, and have many years of experience working with different teams and managers, both traditional and Agile.
As a Management 3.0 Licensed Trainer, I lead and facilitate interactive Management 3.0 workshops based on the best-selling Mike Cohn Signature Series book by Jurgen Appelo, Management 3.0 Leading Agile Developers, Developing Agile Leaders. These workshops help Agile development managers, line managers, and team leaders better understand how to foster the conditions that enable high team performance and ensure that their team’s outcomes have business value. Managers and team leaders learn how to support and nurture people so they can perform their best, and how to direct and structure the team’s interactions towards business value. They also learn how the role of management fits in with self-organizing teams.
