Timothy Pehlke

Tim Pehlke is a project professional with 15 years experience directing the implementation of projects and programs in the nonprofit and government sectors. His expertise is in managing complex projects and programs to ensure they produce high quality outcomes within scope, on time, and within budget. Mr Pehlke has a track record of leading teams of diverse stakeholders that include cross-functional teams of staff and consultants. He currently serves as Director of Project Management at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA). In this role he leads the implementation of national-office strategic plan projects and programs. Duties include project management, project governance, leading cross-functional teams, resource management, and risk management. He previously served as a member of the Program & Impact team, leading the planning and implementation of national-level pilot projects that include Beyond School Walls, Bigs in Blue/Bigs with Badges, Family Engagement, and Sports Buddies. Prior to this he served as Assistant Director for Special Projects at the University of Central Florida (UCF) Center for Public and Nonprofit Management. In this role he founded the UCF Walking School Bus program and brought the UCF Homeless Student Education AmeriCorps VISTA project to scale across the three county Central Florida region. In addition, Tim served as 4-H Youth Development Coordinator in Orlando, Florida for the University of Florida IFAS Extension. During his time with the 4-H program he led efforts to expand STEM programming through FIRST Robotics and designed The Garden, an innovative inner-city gardening college and career readiness program, in partnership with the City of Orlando and Bloomberg Philanthropies: Cities of Service. His work history includes 15 years experience in corporate, nonprofit, and government sector positions. Tim is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) specializing in non-governmental organizations (NGO). Mr. Pehlke holds degrees from the University of Missouri, Miami University, and Greenville University.
