Melissa Malpica

My name is Melissa Malpica and I currently hold a role of Director of Product. I've worked as a Web Developer, Quality Assurance Specialist and Software Engineer. In all three roles I've seen the benefits of using Scrum and the consequences of not using scrum. Agile methodologies have always made sense to me and allow me various tools to plan for a successful project. Earlier in my career I often found myself to be the one explaining the benefits of Agile and Scrum to my team members and came to the realization that once people truly understood the value of scrum and Agile practices that they became more willing to put in the effort (growing pains) for the reward (delivering consistent customer value). I found that once people understood that, they weren't so scared anymore.... I want to help transform teams that in turn transform organizations so that they aren't scared anymore of being successful. My goal is to continue advancing in my Product career so that I can continue to grow both personally and professionally achieving whatever my next goals may be at the time!
