Beenish Zaidi

My name is Beenish Zaidi. I am a technical product manager in emaratech which is a service provider to Dubai Immigration.I started my career as a developer having keen passion about J2EE technologies. I have extensive experience in frameworks like Hibernate, Spring, JSF, Primefaces, business process modelling. I was always someone who believed in Lead by Example. I always loved to coach my peers. Gradually i transitioned from a Software Developer to a Team Lead position and later to a Product Manager position. I came across agile philosophy a couple of years back and i simply loved it. When our company started adopting agile and implemented scrum, i had a chance to play different roles in capacity of a Scrum master and Product owner over time. My working style since the beginning was to cultivate people, building trust within my team and between my management and agile teams. I thoroughly enjoyed my role as a Scrum master. I had a chance to work with people from different regions which polished my coaching skills to an advance level. I have worked in capacity of product owner and chief product owner for over two years managing different hierarchy of projects. When i was exploring agile, i was always interested to know how can i scale agile at the enterprise level. This journey brought me to understand SAFe. I am a Safe program consultant. I am a change agent who love to train teams and coach at different levels.I have been involved with pushing Agile development and best practices both within the company and to a wider audience here in Dubai. You can find me number of times as a speaker in our meet-up group sponsored by Agile Me. My personal interests are white water river rafting, writing, recording technology screen-casts on demand of my peers.
