I’m a Chief Technology Officer who delivers and supports transformation, change, growth and value in business. I help businesses to solve complex problems and achieve rapid, sustainable change through technology, and have done this as in-house CTO and as retained expert working with the CEO and Executive Team. My experience is B2B and B2C, including start-ups, SMEs and large corporates across Technology, FinTech, Retail and Financial Services. My start point is to understand the opportunities, challenges and heritage, then help to shape business strategy. 
I bridge the gap between technology and operational and commercial imperatives, business problems and customer/user needs. 
At Aquila Heywood, I lead the Technology team in executing a strategy that has translated into multi £m business development, a sustainable platform for growth and opportunity for long-term investor value. I’m passionate about galvanising teams to exceed expectations and achieve excellence. I take a holistic business view, working closely with leadership colleagues to identify and monitor commercial priorities, ensuring my team has the tools, skillsets, structure and performance and reward systems in place to support substantial cultural change. I build dialogue and relationships with customers, creating a joint mandate and transparency based on trust and delivery. I find the rapid, impactful change to people, products, service and customer experience hugely inspiring, and pursue this change with absolute focus and tenacity. 

I’m at the forefront of enabling, transformative software delivery approaches, in particular Agile and Lean strategy and execution. I have unique specialist knowledge of these models and their use in driving transformation. 

I’ve published blogs, articles and a white paper; spoken widely at industry and corporate events, and pioneered the extension of successful ways of working at Tesco.com, Avantia, Henderson Investments, L&G Investments and Barclaycard.
