Emily Truax

Emily Truax graduated with honors from Creighton University in May of 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication specializing in Journalism and Graphic Design. Her studies included technical and creative writing, photography, copy-editing and layout, visual design, applied creative practice, film and television production and direction. In December of 2009, she graduated with high honors from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts with an emphasis on drafting and multimedia.
Her employment history reflects over a decade of experience in eCommerce, communication, design, and project management. Her background shows a history of progressive work for PayPal, most recently focused on product ownership, with ScrumMaster and CSPO certification and practical application of AGILE methodologies.
As a Project Manger position at Creighton University, she held the Product Owner role for the myCreighton tool, a campus-wide action and communication application dedicated to supporting and enhancing the student experience. She also acted as Agile coach to the development teams and managed the development of the work delivery system within the University to match proper Agile practices and reduce turnaround time, while managing the development and implementation of a campus-wide software solution meant to take over the tasks of over 300 different software tools.
In her current role as Agile Project Manager, she is ScrumMaster for the Enterprise Security Pod group at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska.
