Leonardo "Hackin" Freire

As a developer, I had over 15 years of experience building web applications for large companies and agencies using different languages and platforms. I also consulted to those customers and helped architect their applications. As a technical leader, I delivered projects of all sizes and with exceptionally diverse teams. I implemented agile mindset and reviewed other methodologies to help nurture, craft, improve and drive teams to their best. As an entrepreneur, I co-founded Giran, an e-commerce service provider that is responsible to develop and run Wine.com.br’s web stores since 2009. I also led design and development of Adena E-commerce Platform, a product from Giran for small and medium businesses. Giran was acquired by Wine.com.br in 2014 and I became IT Manager - responsible for B2B platform, Wine Labs (R&D division) and some internal systems. I’m interested in solving scary problems, make heterogeneous systems talk to each other and develop new products that rely heavily on technology and internet. I'm passionate about empowering and helping people to be better, reliable and relaxed. I've trying to do this through technology, agile mindset, Zen thoughts, productivity techniques (Pomodoros and ZTD), attending to events and help organizing them. At this time, I'm reading a lot about how lean and visual thinking can be used together to facilitate routine tasks and develop new ideas fast.
