Originating from a strong project management background in general IT topics (WMS, ERP, DWH) I worked my way into logistics and e-commerce and from there to mobile development. The positions I have held mean that I have a wealth of experience in leading projects, people and companies.
I have worked with lots of partners, brands and customers, both small and very big. Over the years I worked with different methodologies for project setup from classic project management techniques to hyper agile approaches. I planned and steered projects until the roll-out phase, but also acted as a firefighter to rescue projects that had gone off track. Most of these projects took place in an international set-up, which involved communication in English and travelling.
As a co-founder of CouchCommerce I helped to raise €1.5 million of venture capital and to get the company to grow to 18 people and approach the break-even point. We managed a successful exit and have been acquired by NewStore Inc. At CouchCommerce we already had a team based in different places. After the acquisition through NewStore we now have four locations plus people who work from home. I’m familiar with pros and cons of teams spread about in different areas.
