Michael Kogan

Michael Kogan brings more than 25 years of experience in software design and development, management of software and QA teams and management of software development processes. In his current role he is an Chief Methodologist and a Software Quality Champion, responsible for bringing software development practices to the next level. Prior to the current position he has been leading development teams in WD and other companies in telecommunication and aircraft industry. Michael is and has always been passionate about software processes and their improvements starting from the days of spiral model, through XP to modern Agile methodologies. His was one of the first teams who started practicing Scrum in the local WD branch some 8 years ago and he was part of the management team who lead the introduction and adoption of Jira Agile (f.k.a. GreenHopper) tool, currently being used across all corporate engineering units. Naturally, while leading his teams to the transformation to Agie he has been personally involved in training and facilitating the transition. Committed to striving for excellence and constant improvement Michael holds a CDA certification by Disciplined Agile Consortium and CSM, CSPO & CSP certifications by ScrumAlliance. He also holds a B.Sc in Mathematics and Computer Science and an MBA, both from Tel Aviv University. In his free time he is a long-distance runner, a cook and an (uncertified) Dharma practitioner.
