David Blackman

I'm Dave Blackman, Ph. D. and I currently hold the position of Vice President Applied Research and Development at First American Title Insurance in Santa Ana, CA.  An experienced leader in the real estate and title insurance industries. Research-based practitioner applying seminal works to practical business problems creating unique software and process solutions in changing markets.

I hold by Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organizational Management, Information Technology from Capella University.  I also have my Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership in Business and Management as well as my Bachelor of Science, Management Information Systems from Vanguard University of Southern California.  You can view my LinkedIn profile here – feel free to connect with me.

I enjoy creating new and innovative technology to help solve practical business problems.  Sounds pretty simple (and boring), but that is my job!  I like to work with others in a team setting, help them develop as professionals, and solve real-world problems or issues in a relatively quick manner.  I also enjoy finding relevant academic research and using that work to create new solutions.  I’ve been married almost 30 years to my wonderful wife Mindy and currently reside in Corona, CA with our three children.
