An Agile advisor with over 30 years of hands-on experience in software and process development initiatives. Currently facilitating public and private classes and workshops, and also serving as an Agile and Lean Consultant and Coach for several enterprise Agile adoptions. My approach is to provide advice to individuals and organizations on four key success pillars: cultivating in-house expertise and knowledge on Lean and Agile practices, defining enterprise change strategies, building coaching and training programs, and developing collaborative, long lasting relationships between business & IT partners. 

In a previous work engagement I was an Enterprise Agile Strategist for TELUS and their Digital / Web Channels team.  This experience provided me with a fantastic experience to see customer needs and product development through a business lens, which helped provide balance to my IT centric roles in previous jobs.  Working on the business side also allowed me to grow my Lean and Lean Startup skills, where Lean's focus on waste reduction and Lean Staertup's focus on quick validation closely complement the practical use of Agile and Scrum during development. In addition, working in the telecommunications and digital sectors provided me with exposure to a completely new domain which served to broaden my horizons.

Prior to TELUS, I served as an Agile Practice Lead at RBC in an IT based role within the Enterprise Solutions Delivery and Project Management offices.  It was here that I discovered my true passion lies in developing and delivering Agile and Scrum training programs and classes.  RBC provided me with several key growth opportunites: Lean Six Sigma methods, Agile Coaching skills and expertise, and Organizational Change Management (OCM) techniques such as the ADKAR model from ProSci.  Working for RBC broadened my professional experiences by providing exposure to the Financial sector as well as to the practical application of Scrum and Agile for both software and process development initiatives.

Prior to RBC, my first official introduction to Scrum and Agile came when I worked at Pitney Bowes Business Insight (formerly MapInfo Corporation).  I was initially hired as a Senior Project Manager for a multidisciplinary software development team.  When the entire developer tools prorgram transformed to Scrum I became a Certified ScrumMaster and began down the path to enlightenment! After several months of working with my own teams towards success with Scrum, I began to grow my coaching abilities by helping other teams within the organization adopt Scrum as the delivery framework of choice.
