Jimmy Chandra

Jimmy has 20+ years of combined development experience (starting as a hobby and later on as a professional).  He has been developing professionally since 1997 using various technologies such as Turbo / Borland Pascal, x86 Assembly, Quick Basic, Visual Basic, SQL Server, Oracle, Classic ASP, and then finally using Microsoft .NET Framework, Azure and other web related technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. 

He is very interested in exploring agile development methodologies such as XP and Scrum.  After following the different agile practices on his own (from books, blogs, and articles online), he finally decided to heed the call and attended a Scrum training course from a Certified Scrum Trainer (Bas Vodde) in Singapore in June 2008 and was awarded his certification as a Scrummaster (one of the first five certified Scrummasters in Indonesia).

Jimmy currently is working at Coupa where he works as a Software Engineering Lead / Manager on InvoiceSmash, a cloud-base invoice processing automation SAAS product incubated by Burch Technologies P/L and later acquired by Coupa, involving leading the development team and doing hands-on development on Windows Azure, .NET, and electronic PDF data extraction algorithm and integration with multiple accounting systems.  This startup environment gives him a perfect opportunity to use his knowledge about agile software development methodologies to help give structure and agility to the development process.
