Thomas Heidenreich

Currently I am working as a senior IT Consultant within a scrum team at Seibert Media GmbH in Wiesbaden since 2013. We bring electronic solutions like Jira to companies to help them to better work together. Part of my work is helping scrum teams do their first steps after certification - like doing a first sprint in an electronic tool. Define what is a story and what is an epic and set up some definitions of done and ready.

Before that I was part of two development teams in two different companies.

First I was at Danet GmbH in Darmstadt were I was responsible for test execution and organizing the bugfixing with the developers. This was a V-Model approach with weekly status meetings. In general this was not very efective as sometimes I woudln´t see other team membery for a week.

After that I worked at Electronic Minds GmbH in Darmstadt from 2008 to 2013 - my job was to raise the quality of the delivered products and introduce generic testing mechanisms. This is were I indroduced Jira to the company and got myself introduced to scrum around 2011. This is where I saw the possibilities of scrum as the team got much more productive and even got a better mood.

At Technische Universität Darmstadt I studied computer science until the end but didn´t write my thesis as work-life and an ever changing thesis supervisors got in the way of that. I also minored in law for electronic signatures. Before commiting to computer science as my major I studies physics for two years with computer scienas as minor.
