About
Colton Evans
I am happily married and living in Central Illinois. Jesus is the Lord of my life, and I strive to honor him in all that I do.
I started pursuing traditional project management when I was 18. Around 2012 my workgroup started pursuing significant development projects. We quickly became frustrated with the "normal" planning method of starting a project and massive requirement documents. At that time Prarthana Sherchaun headed a scrum intitiative in the organization and we've never looked back. Shortly thereafter Prarthana took advantage of a different career opportunity and passed her Scrum Master mantel off to me. I owe her a lot for getting me started in such a great field.
I'd say the greatest challenge that I have faced with Scrum is convincing people to implement it fully and not go for half measures. Scrum has so much to offer, but so often people want to limit it's effectiveness.
