About
My career has been one of unexpected twists and turns as I have progressed from High School Teacher to Technical Trainer, Tech Support, Business Analyst, and finally to Project Manager, Scrum Master and Product Owner.
I believe I have found that my sweet spot is Scrum, especially the ScrumMaster and Coaching role. I had extensive experience in the Waterfall SDLC and always felt that something was not working well, but could never identify what that "something" was, until I had the opportunity to work in Scrum. That was when the proverbial lightbulb lit up, and I realized why Waterfall had failed so miserably, and I saw that Scrum could resolve many problems we had suffered. I then became an enthusiastic proponent of Agile, and Scrum in particular.
I have worked in numerous industries; Satellite Television, Cellular Clearing, Online Education, Finance, and Health Insurance, with a few other gigs in between.
Although I have been happy as a full-time employee once in a while, lately I have enjoyed the benefits of consultant work. Have skills, will travel!
