Andrew Lindsay: a long time proponent of Scrum and Agile I've worked as developer, manager, Scrum Master and Product Owner in the fields of Education, Open Source Technology and Social Advocacy.
From 2008 until 2014 I worked at McGill University IT and was responsible for the introduction and adoption of Scrum on a team that had traditionally followed the waterfall mtehodology. With a bottom-up adoption of Scrum and Agile we were able to demonstrate the efficiency of Scrum and ultimately won support from Senior Managment.
From 2014 until 2016 I workled for the Linux Foundation, running 4 agile teams in support of that organizations various Open source projects. This was a period of frenetic growth for the LF and Scrum was essential to our ability to keep pace with that growth.
In my current role at New/Mode, I use Scrum to help develop our product in predictable manner that maximizes business value and ensures that we remain competative.
When not at work, you will typically find me spending time with my family, tinkering, reading, hiking, or fishing.
