I was introduced to the power of Scrum during the transition to Agile at Essent, facilitated by Xebia, in 2010. Prior to this, I worked on traditional waterfall projects. During the transition, I began my Agile journey as an Agile Support Officer, progressing to become a Scrum Master, and ultimately, a Scrum Master for the Scrum Masters/Agile/Scrum Coach. In this role, I supported Scrum Masters, Developers, and Product Owners, coaching and mentoring them on their Agile journey. Over the years, I have continued to serve as a Scrum Master, coaching several Scrum Masters, Scrum teams, and their surroundings at various organizations, including Wegener Media, CRV, Rabobank, CBS, Europeesche Verzekeringen, ING Commercial Banking, Portbase, Philips, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, APG, Vodafone Ziggo, Jumbo, Triodos, and Unilever. As someone who is passionate about sharing knowledge, I also organize knowledge sessions for trainees, colleagues, and management to inspire others to work with Scrum. I have also given several guest lectures on Scrum at the Hogeschool Zuyd and the HAN. Currently, I am an Agile trainer at Xebia Academy, where I am fully focused on sharing knowledge, teaching, conferences, and developing and improving training and trainers. As a Professional Scrum Trainer for Scrum.org, I provide Professional Scrum training like the PSM and PSPO. I am also certified to teach the 'Training From the Back of the Room' and co-created the Virtual Edition of it with Sharon Bowman. My training is always filled with brain-based learning activities, both online and in-person. With over 15 years of experience in the Agile domain, I bring real-world experience to my training sessions, enabling learners to learn through practical, hands-on activities.
