Hamish Tonkin.

I have over 16 years experience working for Blue Chip businesses and IT industries. Disciplines within IT include senior management, enterprise strategy, roadmaps and architecture for infrastructure, and application development.

My core focus area in IT is thought leadership and technical strategies, which includes management of teams, enterprise architecture, providing Return on Investment models, Business Transformation strategies, Business Process Improvement strategies, and Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning. I have been a key stakeholder in the areas outlined above, throughout many large programmes in Blue chip companies with a strong track record of delivery.

My IT career began as an application developer, and over the last 16 years has developed and broadened to include a wider and more comprehensive area of IT including data centre services, voice and data networks, security, infrastructure, mobility, utility and virtualisation services, coupled with application hosting and storage.

With a broad industry experience ranging from public sector to retail and investment banking, from telco’s to radio and television broadcasting, to oil, gas and utilities. I am able to demonstrate a deep understanding of various business models. I have the ability and experience in engaging with senior and executive management from various industry sectors. As well as this, I have a lengthy experience in being a technical team leader and manager for small, medium and large sized teams. I have leadership capabilities and deep experience in both vendor and supplier management as well as diligence in selection processes, from RFI, RFP through to operational handover.
