I'm Jay Grant, a Senior Technical Product Manager with a robust background in business-focused roles, where I've refined skills in stakeholder management, customer insight gathering, process innovation, and team leadership. A defining moment in my career occurred in 2017, when I led a project that struck a balance between business objectives and user needs, prompting my shift into Product Management. My foray into Agile methodologies began at General Assembly, where I fully immersed myself in Scrum practices. This period, enriched by comprehensive reading and a commitment to learning from experienced colleagues, was instrumental in my professional development. During the Covid-19 economic downturn, I seized the opportunity to enhance my Python skills, delve into Logic Pro, and attain my Scrum Product Owner (CS-PO) certification. In my recent role as a Senior Technical Product Manager at Grantify, I built upon my previous experience. A key achievement was the successful integration of BigQuery into Grantify’s data warehouse, revolutionising their customer data processes and enhancing operational efficiency. Additionally, I led the launch of government grant products, creating tailored solutions for non-profits in grant procurement. With over five years in product management, my focus has centred on developing and delivering data-driven solutions, utilising my expertise in APIs, data, and automation to foster effective collaboration with analytics teams. My foundational understanding of Agile and Scrum principles underpins my approach, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams, stakeholders, and clients. This expertise has been critical in developing and scaling user-focused products, boosting customer retention, and driving revenue growth.
