Peter Zurkirchen
After graduation as an electrical engineer, I was developing embedded software for robots. In 2009 I started to become familiar with Scrum. Since then, I have been working as a Scrum Master / Agile Coach. I strongly believe in the agile way of doing things and its underlying values and principles. I drive agile values and principles with passion. I promote these ideas from the team level, culminating in company-wide aspects. I have been dealing with agility and self-organization for many years.
I have experience working with various numbers of teams, from a single Scrum team up to sixteen teams at two development sites. In addition, I have studied and used some tools and methodologies from the Large Scale Scrum framework (LeSS) by Craig Larman.
I am the leader of a company wide change initiative to improve the project and development processes. Therefore, we examine the whole value stream from "concept to cash" and try to optimize everything involved. Lean thinking, systems thinking, queuing theory and the theory of constraints (ToC) help me and my team to analyze and optimize the whole value stream. We use Kanban as an evolutionary continuous improvement method.
I am driving the community @Swiss Agile Breakfast (swissICT). I attend and speak at various conferences and agile breakfasts.
