Certified Agile Leader® 1

Most agile transformations stall not because the teams doing the work lack skill, but because the leaders around them never change how they lead. You can send every Scrum Master and Product Owner in the building on training, and nothing shifts at the top — because the constraint is structural and cultural, not technical.

Stuart's Executive Coaching abilities, integrated with an understanding of Complex Adaptive Systems, Neuroscience and a deep understanding of agility, has revealed a radical clarity that makes effective leadership immediately achievable.

Why this is a programme, not a two-day workshop

Real change doesn't come from sitting in a room for two days. It comes from trying something new, seeing what actually happens when you take it back into your organisation, and having somewhere to bring the results.

That's why CAL 1 and CAL 2 are delivered in smaller chunks — five 3¼-hour sessions, then six 2-hour sessions — with real time between each one to put what you've learned into practice. You leave a session, try it in your own context, then come back to share what happened, get feedback, and try the next thing in a safe environment before repeating the cycle.

Optimised for real results, not a feel-good day

A two-day course can leave you with a certificate and a genuine buzz — but on its own, a classroom experience rarely changes how you actually lead once you're back in the day-to-day. Getting more than an introductory certificate and a novel couple of days out of the office takes a sustainable method for ongoing improvement, not a single event. That's not something a two-day course can deliver, however good the two days are.

Individuals and teams in fields like sport treat this as completely normal — nobody expects a two-day clinic to make them competition-ready; ongoing coaching and practice is simply how it's done. In most workplaces, that expectation barely exists at all: training is something you attend once, not something you sustain.

It shows up in the numbers. Courses regularly get rave reviews the moment the room empties — but even with repeat-business discounts on the table, only around 11% of people go on to actually invest in the sustained support that changes how they work and live. CAL 1 and CAL 2 are built to put you in that 11%, which is exactly why the programme is practice and coaching spread over time, not a two-day event.
