CERTIFIED SCRUM

DEVELOPER

Certification · Scrum Alliance · 16 SEUs

Without technical practices, Scrum will fail. Give your developers the understanding and hands-on practice of a cross-functional, iterative mindset — and the skills to build quickly, iteratively, and sustainably.

This intensive two-day course will prepare you to succeed in your role as a Scrum Developer. It includes the full Scrum/Agile experience — planning, development, testing, and retrospection — taught through lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice creating software in pairs and small groups.

Who it's for: This training is the right choice for all team members who are involved in creating your software solutions.

Led by CST & Technical Coach Paul Moore

Trainer Paul Moore is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and specialized Educator for the Scrum Alliance developer track — CSD, A-CSD, and CSP-D. Paul brings years of direct experience using these practices to ship successful software solutions, from single-team start-ups to enterprise organizations where many teams participate in product delivery.

Scrum without the engineering
isn’t built to last

The problem is…

Your team builds and demos software quickly — but is it quality code that's easy to maintain?
QA can barely test the new features, let alone regression test the last set
Automated testing and continuous integration aren't part of your sprint yet
Refactoring gets skipped, and the codebase gets harder to change over time
Pair and mob programming feel unfamiliar, so misunderstandings pile up
No one has walked your developers through these practices, hands-on, in their own codebase

Much of DevOps is built on a solid foundation of automated testing and continuous integration practices. Getting these down within each sprint is the first step toward realizing the promise of DevOps.
