I had an excellent experience with my Certified Scrum Product Owner training with Anil. He was an amazing trainer knowledgeable, thorough, and incredibly engaging throughout the entire course. What stood out most was Anil’s learning by doing approach. The interactive exercises and real world examples made the concepts easier to understand and helped connect the material to practical situations. His ability to create an engaging learning environment made the training both valuable and enjoyable.
I highly recommend Anil to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, engaging, and effective CSPO trainer!

Anil does a great job with hands on activities, explanation and context to follow to understand the roles and actions of a Product Owner. He is a great instructor for this and has broad knowledge and experience in this field.

I took the CSPO® training (2 days) with Anil Jaising, who made the class super interactive and fun with real-life scenarios, examples, and ran the training itself like a 2-day sprint, taking us through the entire lifecycle of a product from conceptualization to even a delivery pitch. The use of Miro board for collaboration was excellent. Additional resources like the workbook and links to articles, videos and books for self-learning were truly very valuable. I absolutely loved that he genuinely cares about creating value in our lives, which is why he said he'll always be available for a chat to provide guidance/advice/help, FOR LIFE!
For anyone wondering if the 2-day course is going to be too much for you, there are 10-minute breaks at the end of every hour, and a long (45-60 minute) break for lunch in the middle which made the training quite breezy and kept us fresh throughout. I would highly recommend training with Anil Jaising (Concepts & Beyond)!

I really enjoyed this course! The material was engaging, interactive, and well organized. Even though it was a full 16 hours over two days, Anil provided plenty of breaks, listened to our feedback, and made the time go by quickly. He did a great job making sure we were engaged and set up for success throughout the course.

Anil’s CSPO class was highly interactive, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable. Instead of simply going through slides, he used active-learning methods such as different tools, virtual teamwork, hands-on exercises, and real-time discussions. This approach kept us involved throughout the class and made the concepts much easier to understand and apply.
What stood out most was how the teaching style encouraged us to think on our feet, ask critical questions, and better understand the “why” behind Product Ownership and Scrum—not just memorize concepts.
An added bonus was Anil’s ability to share his own professional experiences, practical knowledge, and wisdom. He consistently connected the material to real workplace situations, which made the learning much more relevant and useful.
Overall, it was an excellent learning experience that not only helped me better understand the Product Owner role but also gave me insights that can make me a stronger overall professional. Highly recommended!

Product Owners - Delivering Business Outcomes with AI
Delivering value is more than following a set of requirements or a process. It's about engaging customers, discovering their needs and sequencing work to optimize outcomes rather than just outputs. Product Owners are central to maximizing the flow of value produced by the product delivery teams. Not just in person, but even when the whole team is online and virtual.
This course covers everything the Scrum Alliance requires for your CSPO certification. Product vision, stakeholder management, backlog refinement, release planning, the full curriculum. Over four sessions, you'll move from customer discovery to validated opportunity to working prototype on a shared visual canvas where each stage feeds the next. You'll generate PRDs, technical requirements, prototypes, and a stakeholder deck as you go. Not as homework. During class, as a natural byproduct of doing the work. You'll leave certified. You'll also leave with artifacts you built and a repeatable workflow you can bring back to your team the following week.
If you're ready to learn how to deliver value with Scrum in a fun and engaging way via pragmatic techniques you can apply immediately, this course is for you. From deep study of brain science and adult learning, we've learned what it takes to be effective in a virtual environment and avoid "Zoom fatigue."

"I took the CSPO course with Concepts & Beyond Inc, and I must say it was an outstanding learning experience from start to finish. The entire journey was incredibly engaging, and I wanted to take a moment to share my positive feedback. The course content was not only comprehensive but also presented in a way that kept everyone very engaged throughout. Practical exercises with real life scenarios helped me get a deeper understanding of the concepts and how to apply them. Moreover, the instructor Anil, demonstrated a deep knowledge of SCRUM and the Product Owner role. He was very responsive to questions, provided constructive feedback, and created a supportive learning environment that fostered collaboration among participants. Thank you Anil, for exceeding my expectations and providing me with a valuable educational experience!" -- Odalys Jordan
"Very insightful class. I am relatively new to some of the PO concepts and this class helped clarify things I had questions on. The interactive way it is taught is both fun and a great way to apply course concepts. I feel I gained tremendous knowledge from this course! " -- Chad
"I had an opportunity to go through a CSPO training with them. It was really good course and the trainer covered all the aspect of a PO’s journey. It gave me confidence of taking another scrum related course and the knowlede I carried was so helpful. The one and only feedback I have is that I struggled to keep track of the way course is going to run and then later I caught up with it. It may be helpful to have short video on to give an intro for students like me. If another course is offered and is relevant to me then I will surely take it with concept and beyond... " -- Asad Baig
"If you truly want to learn practical skills to become a product owner, this is the class for you. This class goes beyond making students sit through slides they will not remember the next day. This is an active learning experience focused on giving students practical experience through various case studies and activities. Not only is this a more enjoyable way to learn but also a great way to get the context and practical experience needed to grasp the concepts behind your certification." --Frank K

FAQ
How soon can I get my CSPO® certification? On completing your participation in the full workshop, we will let the Scrum Alliance know of your successful completion of the course. You'll receive an email from them to setup your profile on the Scrum Alliance website and then you'll be a bonafide, official CSPO®!
Wait! Don't I Need to Take an Exam to be Certified as a CSPO®? No. Currently the only requirement to become a CSPO® is the successful completion of the course. The Scrum Alliance is hard at work to develop an online exam for the CSPO®. So if you love taking tests, wait a bit to enroll in a CSPO® workshop. Otherwise - get it now with us!
Can I Miss Several Hours of the Workshop and Still be Certified? No. If you miss more than 15 minutes of the workshop, you will not be eligible for certification, and you will be welcome to attend the rest of the workshop. Don't worry - if something big comes up, we'll move you to a future workshop at no cost.
What do I need to bring to class? You'll need a computer with microphone, camera & speakers. Use [https://fast.com](https://fast.com/) to test your internet connection. This course is based on modern adult instructional methods to facilitate learning, create a fun and productive environment, and mature a deeper understanding of the concepts. You will experience an interactive experience, enjoy the learning, and have fun in the process.
We use zero slides. The whole class is based on interactive exercises, simulations, and class discussions. The instructor explains key concepts and brings in real-life stories, and participants learn from applying the concepts and from sharing with each other. We incorporate liberating structures and innovation games into the exercises. You will experience these useful frameworks that you can use spark innovation and collaboration with your team members.
This class is delivered online (virtual class) with a live CST instructor as facilitator for the entire course. We use Zoom as video conference platform, and a few other tools (Miro, Socrative, etc.) to do exercises, take quizzes, and learn new tools for colaboration with teams.
Product Vision – A clear, shared vision is crucial for successful Scrum and Agile teams. We’ll walk through techniques to help unify your team, stakeholders, and customers around the right vision for your product or service.
Prune the Product Tree – Roadmaps are an important link between Product Vision and the Product Backlog. Unfortunately, many roadmaps are not much more than a slide with dates and bullet pointed features, which doesn’t provide any context. Learn how to use the Prune the Product Tree, an Innovation Game®, to collaborate with customers to build a real roadmap.
Product Backlog Basics – Learn the simple rules associated with a Product Backlog as well as a set of key practices for using a Product Backlog to develop consensus among the stakeholders on what will be delivered. Other topics we cover include:
Writing User Stories
Acceptance Criteria
Vertically Slicing User Stories
Product Backlog Refinement
Ordering the Product Backlog – The core of the Product Owner’s job is to order and prioritize among the many great things we could do and help the Development Team focus only on what is most important. Many traditional prioritization techniques are too slow for most Scrum Teams, so many Product Owners order the Product Backlog solely on intuition or by responding to the currently squeaky wheel. Learn a prioritization framework that helps you visualize the relative importance of your customer segments, internal & external stakeholders, corporate strategy, and maintain clean code.
Agile Release Planning – Believe it or not, we’ve heard many times the misinformed statement: “We’re Agile, so we don’t really plan.” Not only is this inconsistent with the Agile Manifesto, it is usually just bad business. In our experience, the best Scrum teams create a plan and expect it to change as work begins!
Learn the nuts and bolts of managing stakeholder expectations with an Agile release plan
Learn how and when to it makes sense to update the release plan
Working in Sprints – the Product Owner role doesn’t end once the Product Backlog is ready for Sprint Planning. Your team will be most effective if you are available during the Sprint to provide feedback at key points.
Learn how the Product Owner works with Development Teams during the Sprint
Explore best practices in balancing time among the Development Team, stakeholders, and customers
Scrum Product Owners, Agile Product Managers, Kanban Service Request Managers, or any individuals wanting to better understand and embrace the role that business and customers play in driving product development for Scrum and Agile teams. Such individuals might include:

Product Managers at all levels of their career
Business Analysts
Functional Managers
Project Sponsors
IT Leadership (Managers/Directors/VPs/CIOs/CTOs)
Prerequisites
A basic understanding of Scrum is assumed. For example, participants should read one of the Scrum introduction books or other find another means of self-study. Previous experience on a Scrum team is desirable.
Commitements:
Something to know: About 20% of all public CSMs & CSPOs have more than 40 people enrolled. That's not us.
Our workshops are designed to be interactive in nature. There are breakout exercises roughly every hour for students to practice and apply concepts in “table teams” of a few people rather than in a plenary (whole class) session. Our public class enrollments are generally below the average course size of 16. This helps you get rich feedback and interaction from other participants and your trainer.
Our aim is that you have an engaging and practical experience - not just learn concepts and pass a test. Our intent is that the workshop leaves you feeling eager, excited, and confident about putting the tips, techniques, and frameworks into practice.
