Most agile transformations stall not because the teams doing the work lack skill, but because the leaders around them never change how they lead. You can send every Scrum Master and Product Owner in the building on training, and nothing shifts at the top — because the constraint is structural and cultural, not technical.

Stuart's Executive Coaching abilities, integrated with an understanding of Complex Adaptive Systems, Neuroscience and a deep understanding of agility, has revealed a radical clarity that makes effective leadership immediately achievable.

Why this is a programme, not a two-day workshop

Real change doesn't come from sitting in a room for two days. It comes from trying something new, seeing what actually happens when you take it back into your organisation, and having somewhere to bring the results.

That's why CAL 1 and CAL 2 are delivered in smaller chunks — four half-days, then six 90-minute sessions — with real time between each one to put what you've learned into practice. You leave a session, try it in your own context, then come back to share what happened, get feedback, and try the next thing in a safe environment before repeating the cycle.

Consecutive-day format (2 days — or three 2–3 day blocks) Then nothing structured — you're on your own to apply it CAL 1 + CAL 2 — ten sessions spread across ~10 weeks ongoing Week 1 Week 5 Week 10
Larger marks are the four CAL 1 half-days; smaller marks are the six CAL 2 ninety-minute sessions. The textured gaps between them are real practice time back in your own organisation — not downtime.
From new idea to real change — and back again 1 Discover a new idea 2 Practise rehearse it, safely 3 Practice for real, at work 4 Feedback a reality check 5 Discover the next idea 6 Practise rehearse it, safely 7 Practice for real, at work
Each idea climbs from a low-stakes discovery, through safe rehearsal, up to real practice in the workplace — then an honest feedback reality-check, before the next idea begins the climb again.

One registration, two certifications

£595 covers the complete Agile Leadership programme: CAL 1 (four half-day sessions) and CAL 2 (six 90-minute coaching sessions) — ten sessions of live contact time, with practice and integration time built in between every one. Many providers charge separately for CAL 1 and CAL 2; here it's one price for both.

Optimised for real results, not a feel-good day

A two-day course can leave you with a certificate and a genuine buzz — but on its own, a classroom experience rarely changes how you actually lead once you're back in the day-to-day. Getting more than an introductory certificate and a novel couple of days out of the office takes a sustainable method for ongoing improvement, not a single event. That's not something a two-day course can deliver, however good the two days are.

Individuals and teams in fields like sport treat this as completely normal — nobody expects a two-day clinic to make them competition-ready; ongoing coaching and practice is simply how it's done. In most workplaces, that expectation barely exists at all: training is something you attend once, not something you sustain.

It shows up in the numbers. Courses regularly get rave reviews the moment the room empties — but even with repeat-business discounts on the table, only around 11% of people go on to actually invest in the sustained support that changes how they work and live. CAL 1 and CAL 2 are built to put you in that 11%, which is exactly why the programme is practice and coaching spread over time, not a two-day event.

Right after the course Rave reviews

Common — and genuine. But a first impression on its own rarely survives contact with the day job.

Go on to invest in sustained support ~11%

Even with loyalty discounts on offer. CAL 1 and CAL 2 are built to put you in that 11%, not the 89%.

What leaders are saying

"A very deep and introspective learning session on agile leadership. The group of learners, who are already well aware of transformation contexts, agile basics, enterprise challenges and have been responsible for large org influencing programs to show results, will gain tremendously. They will know how to work on their own self, post the CAL 1 course."

— J. Dutta, Sr Unit Quality Head, Infosys

"Stuart's passion will give you critical insights into the underlying, non-obvious issues as well as techniques you can use to immediately increase the odds that your organisation's journey to becoming agile is a successful one."

— R. Roach, CIO

"Stuart's CAL training fuelled me with valuable new views on Agile, Scrum and the way I could improve the impact of departments and teams in our organisation."

— J. Fortuin, Transformation Coach, KPN Technium

Common questions

Is CAL 2 really included, or is that a discount code?

It's included in the £595 price — no code needed. One registration covers all four CAL 1 sessions and all six CAL 2 sessions.

Why is this listed as a CAL 1 course if CAL 2 is included?

Scrum Alliance's course listings don't currently support listing CAL 1 and CAL 2 together as a single bundled course, so this page is listed under CAL 1. Your registration still includes both — all four CAL 1 sessions and all six CAL 2 sessions — for the one price.

Is the course fully online?

Yes — all sessions run live online, with a small enough group (max 12) for genuine dialogue rather than a one-way webinar.

What's the session schedule?

CAL 1 runs as four half-day sessions with time to integrate and practice between them. CAL 2 follows as six 90-minute sessions, also spaced to allow practice between sessions.

How large is each cohort?

Capped at 12 participants, deliberately kept small so there's room for real dialogue and individual coaching attention.

Do I need agile experience to join?

No prior agile experience is required — the programme is built for leaders at any level who want to lead more effectively in complex, fast-changing environments.
