The CSM That Gets You Certified — and Gets You Moving
Live online · Four half-days, 1:00–5:00 PM Central (2–6 PM Eastern / 11 AM–3 PM Pacific) · Guaranteed to run · Capped at 25 students
Most CSM classes teach you the framework and wish you luck. This one is built around what you actually came for: the certification in hand, the confidence to use it, and momentum toward your next role.
Taught by a different kind of trainer
Dr. Devon Morris is a Certified Scrum Trainer® — one of a limited number worldwide vetted by Scrum Alliance — and holds a PhD in industrial-organizational psychology, the science of how teams actually perform. Over 20+ years he has certified thousands of professionals and coached teams at organizations including Google, Coca-Cola, USAA, and McKesson. You are not getting a slide-reader; you are getting a scientist-practitioner who has done this work at the highest level — and who teaches with the energy his 4.92★ student rating reflects.
Everything included with your enrollment
- Live Certified ScrumMaster® training — interactive, hands-on, 100% virtual
- Scrum Alliance exam fee + 2-year membership — no surprise costs
- 16 PMI PDUs & 16 SEUs — continuing education credits included

What students say
"Wow! What a course it was. The material was easy to understand, and Dr. Morris was an outstanding instructor. He kept the entire class engaged throughout the course. I started applying my newfound knowledge the following day, and I am excited to incorporate Scrum into my current role facilitating process improvement throughout the organization."
"Dr. Devon Morris was an excellent coach for our SM classes. He focuses on the principles and leaves no room for misunderstandings. Very easily kept his audience engaged. The certification exam was a breeze after his classes."
"Dr. Morris' pedagogy is truly people-centered and student-centered. He creates an environment that promotes psychological safety and a motivation to learn (i.e. there really are no stupid questions). Dr. Morris is patient, engaging, and supportive. I highly recommend his courses!"
"He didn’t just teach the framework — he brought it to life through practical examples, engaging discussions, and interactive exercises… By the end of the course, I felt fully prepared not only to pass the certification exam but to step into a Scrum role with confidence."
Why half-days matter
Full-day virtual training is exhausting, and taking two days off work is a real cost. Our four-half-day format (1–5 PM Central) means you keep your mornings, keep your job commitments, and arrive at each session fresh — which is why our students retain more and pass at the rate they do.
Seats are capped at 25 and cohorts fill. Register above, or visit 8typical.com/learn/csm for full details.
This course is built for professionals who want a recognized credential and practical skills they can use the following Monday:
- Career changers moving into Scrum Master, agile delivery, or project leadership roles — our included career course was built specifically for you
- Project managers and PMO professionals adding agile delivery to their toolkit (and earning 16 PMI PDUs doing it)
- Developers, QA, and technical team members stepping into team leadership
- Business analysts, designers, and marketers working on or with agile teams
- Managers and leaders whose organizations run Scrum and who want to lead it credibly rather than observe it

This is a live, interactive certification course — not a webinar you can leave running in the background. To be certified, Scrum Alliance requires full attendance, and the class genuinely works better when everyone's in it:
- Attendance: all four sessions, start to finish. If a conflict comes up, contact us in advance and we'll move you to a future cohort rather than have you miss material.
- Camera on: you'll work in small breakout teams throughout; your classmates need you present.
- Participation: come ready to discuss, practice, and occasionally be wrong out loud — that's where the learning is. Dr. Morris runs a supportive, psychologically safe room; every question is a good question.
- Preparation: you'll receive a short pre-class package (including the Scrum Guide). Plan for 1–2 hours of light preparation, especially if you're new to agile.
