The Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)*, from Scrum Alliance is the most requested Agile certification in the world.  This course educates students on Scrum fundamentals as explained in the Scrum Guide, and teaches them how to be great ScrumMasters.

This class uses informal, collaborative dicussion, with activities and exercises to ensure topics are well understood.

In the CSM course, you will learn:

  • Scrum basics and core values
  • How the Scrum framework compares to other methods, such as waterfall
  • How to identify when to use Scrum
  • A Scrum team’s three roles and responsibilities
  • Scrum meetings, including the Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective and Release
  • Planning
  • Sprint Backlog and Product Backlog
  • Scrum artifacts, including the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog and Burndown Charts

This course is formatted for engaging dicussion based instruction, not boring lectures!  The activities and exercises will explore some of the concepts taught in class.

Upon completing this course:

  • Qualification for ScrumMaster Certification after passing a short certification exam
  • Two year membership in the Scrum Alliance
  • 14 PDUs from PMI (Project Management Institute)
  • PMI-ACP: This course counts as 14 of the 21 contact hours needed to be eligible for the PMI-ACP certification.

Students will be prepared to take, and pass, the Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM)* exam. To further prepare students for this exam, our trainer will review a series of checkpoints with the class throughout the course.
