Yasuo Hosotani is a manager of software development section in Mitsubishi Electric Corp.

He has been active in the Agile community of Japan for more than ten years.

He was XPJUG Kansai leader until 2008 to 2011.

Since he first applied Extreme Programming in 2003, he has used Agile development in many projects, and within the company he is known as the number one Agile Practitioner. In 2011 he began using Scrum, and he has successfully done multiple projects as Scrum Master or Scrum Product Owner. Currently, as the section manager, within the organization he is supporting them as a mentor of Scrum Master and Product Owner. In addition, through OJT, he has been teaching Scrum to over 20 members. He is also a specialist in testing and review, and both inside and outside of the company he is communicating about such things as the concept of Agile testing, the methods for quality assurance, and documentation guidelines, and he gives advice for each project.
