There are a couple of mature and another couple of rather young products plus two projects of brand-new software products on my responsibility. A wide range of market segments is covered. From mobile game apps up to ECM (Enterprise Content Management) and from 3D CAD up to engineering data management system. So all the tools, customers, vendors, experts and even sales channels vary a lot. And all the teams have their particular goals in order to balance the product portfolio with overall resources including both people and money.
My duties here are all about building the product teams, growing them up, defining the product roadmap and then performing day by day measurements and operations. All the activities involve a lot of collaborations with C-level, customers, subcontractors, component suppliers, team members and other influencers as well. Considering the cutting edge of 3D technologies the value of reliable partnerships is extremely high. So contacts inside and outside the company are roughly equal.
The launch of 3D-game Machinator (http://machinatorgame.com) for all mobile platforms brought us the most recent success in the terms of customer base. Released by early November 2013 the product has gained more than 600,000 users from all over the world. Another product – Pilot-ICE http://pilotems.com/en was launched just a year ago. And we have unveiled the family of 3D AEC-CAD http://rengacad.com/en after a half of a year after that. The sustainability of the product system above is totally upon my responsibility.

As R&D leader in 2003-2004 I structured the development teams binding their processes directly to our sales forces and key customers. In 2005-2006 technical support service was also integrated. Developed distributed teams management processes including collaboration tools. Since 2007 we have adopted an agile methodology for a better product quality, time of delivery, development speed with talent improvement and team maturity at the same time. Furthermore all the key customers have directly involved in our development process and the strategic product direction since 2008. All the activities were aimed at long term stability through customer satisfaction. Managed costs via budget control during 2008-2009 recession to secure key competence of R&D. There were 200+ developers in 13 teams located in 7 Russian (5) and Belorussian (2) sites. The most commercially successful software projects was CAD-system KOMPAS (2D and 3D, MCAD and AEC flavours) as well as AEC design project management system LOODSMAN:PGS (including mobile front-end) for both domestic and international markets.
