Victor Mendez

I love software and people development. With 19+ years experience in several industries, my interests include effective software development, management and leadership, scalable architectures, agile methodologies and startups. 

After several years working as a software developer, analyst and project manager for diverse consultancy firms, I turned my attention to startups and founded my own custom software development company [Agencia de Ingenieria], which has fulfilled the custom software needs of more than 50 companies and has been granted several awards for innovation. 

In pursuit of an international career, I later accepted the responsibility for the development of Frontiers' Social Network at Lausanne, Switzerland, where I worked for three years and led the transition processes from waterfall to agile (operational level) and from monolith to microservices (architectural level).

Afterwards I managed the development of several of the next-generation HR software products at Raet in Madrid and the cultural and organisational transformation of the company towards an agile & devops mindset.

I currently lead the amazing software development team at TrustYou in Munich. 

Regarding my academic background, I'm a Telecommunications Engineer. Also, in recent years I have further sharpened my management skills by getting an MBA degree and both PMP and Scrum certifications. With regards to languages, I’m used to speaking English, French and Spanish in professional environments and I’m currently learning German (intermediate).
