Tatyana Valkevych

Tatyana Valkevych graduated from Kiev National University, Ukraine with MSc in Computer Science. She spent the first ten years of her career in academia working for Institute of Cybernetics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kiev and for Imperial College in London, UK in the areas of component-based languages, language processors and Java. In 1998, due to job commitments she relocated to London where she eventually settled and currently lives. Tatyana learned small step iterative development when she studied Smalltalk in 1990th. Since 2000 she has been working in industry on various green- and brown-field projects and since 2005 - in production utilising Agile and Lean methodologies and practices including XP, Scrum and Kanban. She learned and started applying Scrum in 2006 when she worked at Interactive Data Ltd on a product that collected and distributed fund pricing information to customers (Financial Times newspaper, to name one). She began using Kanban/Jira in 2013 when working on Alfresco Enterprise Content Management System with customers in more than 1800 companies in 185 countries. With extensive experience of analysis, design, development, continuous integration, deployment, release, maintenance and management of software products and ScrumMaster Certification from Scrum Alliance she is happy to help teams and companies to optimise delivery process, deliver value to customers and succeed.
